Handbags full of Joy

For some are shoes, for other jewelry, to me: Handbags! I love them! is the accessory I would never have enough of. I’ve made a few of them but mostly for myself or my friends. So I decided to add some to my Etsy shop and see if they sell, I love designing purses, and of course making them. I’m planning on making a few different design, but I had to show the very first one! I haven’t list them jet so this is their premiere =)

I like the colors but I’m not sure of what other colors to make and I’m still trying to find a name. So what do you think should be the next colors and How should I name this style?

Out of curiosity witch one is your favorite?

HowJoyful Babydoll

This is a project I made about 8 months ago, for our honeymoon.

I blog about it on Weddingbee but I never shared specific instructions on how to make it. So this week I will be posting a tutorial, I am drawing instructions now, since I forgot to take more detailed pictures while I was making it, so hopefully the drawings will be clear enough.

But I could not help but tease a little bit with some pictures I took today:

HowJoyful Bear!

A couple of weeks a go I shared my HowJoyful Bear: pattern and tutorial with all of you, and I also upload the project to Instructables, I was so happy when they featured my bear after only 2 hours of posting! =] after that it has been shared on a lot of craft blogs, so thank you all for that!

Since I already shipped the bears I made to the their final owners (my awesome wedding photographer’s son and daughter, Clara and Spencer) I thought I should share the pictures of both Teddy Bears I made. I was really happy I got to snap some pictures before they were in a box to LA, so here they are:

The pink bear is for Clara [obviously] and that one is a backpack, the brown is for Spencer and it is also a pajama holder :)

How do you like my new little labels!!!??  =) I am so happy I got to label them!

Curly got all jealous because I was taking pictures of only both of the Teddy Bears so I had to take some of him =)

My little Fur-Baby

Curly has being with me for 12 years now, he is an old child but a puppy on the inside. He loves carrots, apples and celery. His favorite place is my lap and can sense every time I’m not feeling good. He has the most sweets ways to cheer me up and loves to play.

I helped Curly’s mom to push on May 1st, 12 years a go, and since they wanted to kill him, I kidnap him and brought him home after just a few hours of being born, against all the odds, I not only manage to keep him warm and feed him every 2 hours while being still in high school, I manage to see him grow into an awesome best friend.  I was the first person that he saw when he first open his eyes and I freaked out when while playing he lost his teeth, but then I realize that that happens to them too.

When I new I was moving from Chile to California I could not imagine moving here without him, so I did everything I could to bring him with me, it was not easy but so worth it!

We have being living in the Mountains for almost 6 months now, and even though I know there’s wild animals around we never had any problems, or seen them at all.

But this week was a big exception, on Monday morning there was a Bear on our neighbors’ trashcan, and it crossed to our driveway (witch was a pretty scary thing to know). But we have a little fenced area in our yard and that’s were Curly plays.

I have being very careful and don’t let him outside because I know there’s a Bear around. But last night I did let him go out before we went to bed (Just like every single day)

Shortly after that Hubby heard something weird that he thought it was a Raccoon, so rush to the door to let Curly in. When he got to the door saw a Coyote taking off and Curly chasing after him, when we call him, he stop and started fainting. We stop the bleeding on his neck area and drove down the mountain. He had a 3 hour surgery and stayed the night at the Vet. Now he’s stable but has tubes all over his neck and chest and sides to drain the blood and liquid, he can’t really walk , lay or sleep comfortable.

curly2 { His first winter in California }

curly3 { He loves to chew on his toothbrush }

He’s my best friend and the best pet I could have ever wish for. He is in a lot of pain but with medication, so we have to just wait and see how his wounds heal.

So now I ask you to add him to your prayers and send healing thoughts his way please!

Thank you!

Joy

Lovely: Painted chairs

You said painted chairs? - Yup! - I wondered the same thing, but then I saw the awesome pictures displayed below and I could not help but love them, bright colors in vintage shaped couches is just such an awesome mix, now add a very talented artist to paint them and the result is just breathtaking, just look below =]

These are a bit too much, and I would not have them in our living room, but the colors, the shapes! ohh  so vibrant! How could I not love them! at least here on the blog for now :) They were made for one  Adidas store and they are so “Alice in wonderland” to me!  I would totally want something like that for little kids!  LOVE
