Never forget your dreams – Poster giveaway

I made this cute reminder for my office some time ago =] and since I end up having 50 of them, I thought I should share some with you guys! I just love making word posters for my office. I was also thinking on selling the rest but I just can't make my mind about what route to go Etsy, Big Cartel, Pulley or just here in the blog. It can be so confusing sometimes, I do want to sell patterns in the future (that is one of my 101 in 1001 items) but I dont know if I will really have the time to get involved with the shipping process that sending a print poster or pattern involves. I dont know if I should just stick with Downloadable files. Decisions, decisions!

Anyways, I will be giving away 5 of this 8×11″ double side posters, one side light blue, one side light purple. So it's two in one =]

All you have to do is comment in this post and let me know what your advice will be to open a patterns and Downloadables shop: Etsy, Big Cartel, Pulley, here in the blog as a separate section or something else? If you are a follower leave a separate comment letting me know for an extra entry!

I will choose the 5 winners Friday 22nd of July =] Good luck and thank you for the advice!
XO

EDIT: The winners of this giveaway are:
– CollenB.
– Mariella Cinquetti
– Sallyann
– Sewing Princess
– Shannyn
– Diana Ross

Well, I think try selling them through your blog. Some sellers have some issues with etsy and I am not familiar with the other two. Good luck with whatever you decide 🙂

Hi.. my english is not good, but I try to give my opinion. I think your idea is good to open an e-store, do not quite understand how it works but I know a girl who is very happy with e-bay … what I suggest is to put a link on your blog and invite some people to put your store link on his blog (count on me for that), I think the best advertising is word of mouth and this is a good method, OD

I think you should sell your prints through your blog. I know I would be much more apt to look at your products on your blog, especially if you are blogging about them, then to go to a separate website to view them. Good luck on your decision!

I think selling them through your blog is a great idea! You don’t have to keep up with two sites, and it’s all in one place!

I’d say have them on your blog, I’m not sure how people would find them on Etsy, etc. they might get lost in the shuffle unless you searched “printable quotes” or “dreams” etc.

On the other hand, you could advertise for your Etsy or other site on your blog and that way you draw in potential interest from either outlet.

I would *LOVE* to win as the 22nd is my birthday- I’ll be 25 this year! 🙂

I think either selling directly through the blog or through etsy would be my thoughts. Your clothing redesigns are so awesome, I would love to see patterns more frequently ^_^

I personally love Etsy and usually go there first to look for any art, home decor, etc. The only thing with Etsy is if you’re not constantly listing new items, your “old” stuff will be towards the end of the search for an item on the site. However if you were actively promoting a shop on any site (which I don’t know how invested in time you were going to get with this) it would of course flourish. Also I love the option of it being downloadable, less expensive, less time consuming, and less waste on our planet 🙂

Selling through your blog sounds great! It might drive a broader audience to your site and people could see all the fantastic things you do (and maybe make multiple purchases from you) 🙂

Your quote is beautiful. I love the purple and the blue. A good reminder to keep writing.

The thought of shipping keeps me from going that route. I would say sell it here than going through the middle man.

These are so beautiful! I would love to be able to download them and have them printed out! I love word posters, I just wish I knew how to make them and post them all over my home.

Like others have suggested I would definitely go for downloadable items. It’s less hassle for you (no shipping and packaging) and cheaper for the recipient…especially if located outside the US. Not to mention instant gratification!
As for the platform, the more the merrier…unless it’s too much work or cost to keep you products on all of them. Regarding Etsy, I love it but I was reading today that some people have found it difficult to sell there. i guess there’s way too much and you may not get noticed

    Hi Joy,
I just love your blog and your delicate artwork.
In my opinion, you have made this blog/site such a warm and lovely place that you should try selling your work directly from here.
Sure that going to an online shop will help you on issues like shipping and charging but at the other hand you will loose some of the exclusivity and charm that your blog bring to your pieces reflecting who you are as an artist. You’re really talented and I’m sure that you’ll take the best decision. After all, as you wisely said “Never forget your dreams. they are your life.” Greetings from Brazil. Mariella

I would try to sell them through your blog! You have a lot of awesome followers who also have friends, and so it could be great for your blog to receive more viewers! Let us be the word of mouth advertising you need, and then you can add supplemental advertising on top of that to help you take off!

Beautiful print! I always look on Etsy for printables and prints. Have you checked out Heartsy, too, to get the word out on your lovely products?

Hello, on your blog/website for sure! Why don’t you have two options available to your clients, so those who want to download (and have it instantly) can choose that option and have them printed themselves (for a cheaper price) and those who want the paper version straight from your studio can choose this option also, but pay a little more for it (plus postage) and will have to wait for it to arrive in the post.

I’m a follower of your blog and love reading what you’ve been up-to and seeing all the gorgeous things you create.

I too fill my studio with inspiring typographical quotes an think you should share your wonderful graphical posters with the world in any way you can (without sacrificing your time spent on your work). 🙂
    xx

When I look on etsy I’m always attracted to the items that have good pictures on them. So make sure your photo’s are of good quality and show what the pattern will create (don’t just show a picture of the patern)

    Hi,
I love your blog, and i think the best way to sell anything you create should be on here or a link on your facebook page. You are very talented and giving step by step process for most of your projects is so sweet. I love everything you have made and look forward to seeing more 🙂

How cute! Nice little saying. I just moved into my first house (eek!) and am looking for things for my craft/creative room! So pumped it’s a 3 bedroom so I have a room that is MINE ALL MINE! I think downloadable files would work well, but you wouldn’t be able to sell them for as much either. So thats a tricky situation. Shipping is a pain but getting a package in the mail is always such a delight! I say flip a coin, thats what I do for the really big choices! 🙂 Thanks and AWESOME blog I just discovered it via Curbly.com today and I am for sure bookmarking it!

I like the idea of selling of your blog, but that involves so much more technical setup than doing it through something like Etsy.
