A few weeks a go I was contacted by LA Times Freelance writer Kim Kabar for an article about my Wedding Planning blog, I was so excited and finally two Sundays a go the article was published! (I was interviewed along with my friends Tabitha from Ms.Awesome and Laura from Happy hour with a housewife) It took me a few days to finally read it because I was visiting Ken up in San Jose that weekend. So I was really looking forward to it. When I read it I was super excited and didn't notice anything wrong, but last week I read Tabitha's experience with the article and it got me pretty upset.

Maybe that's the reason I was not excited enough to share it right away, but don't get me wrong I AM super excited because one of our amazing wedding pictures by Next Exit Photography was published in the paper along with the interview about my blogging experience =] It's just that I don't agree with the way Tabitha and Cynthia were treated.

I’m so excited for you…getting included in the article and all. I hope it leads a bunch of new people to your awesomeness. ;)

But I’m also so bummed for the whole mess with the civil ceremony vs. wedding wording that Tabitha had to deal with. It’s much more than an issue of semantics. I really enjoyed reading the article Tabitha wrote about this experience. She is so well-spoken (written?) and so are you.

    Thanks for sharing.

So excited for you…very cool! What isn’t cool is how Tabitha was treated….hard to believe that this kind of thing is still happening these days. But as Tabitha said above..don’t let that take your excitement away from you. ;)
